To be Fair.......

Wedding fairs seem to get mixed reviews from brides. Some go to a few and find that there are the same suppliers at each one, yet some go to all and love every minute! Pick your wedding fair right and you will find it a really helpful experience being able to talk to suppliers face to face, try on dresses and sit in vehicles! The national wedding shows are not always the best for picking local suppliers but they are good for scouting out the next big thing. When looking at local fairs have a look at who is arranging it. If you are going to all their shows inevitably it will be the same or similar suppliers. Spread your time between a few different fairs and you should get results!

I am really lucky that in Hampshire we have a fabulous range of fairs from those arranged by national companies to small independent events. If my brides are attending a local fair I often tag along as it gives me the chance to make new contacts and say hello to old ones!

I have to say I adore the ladies who organise the Southsea Bridal Boot Fair and Lovely & Vintage Wedding Fayres. I should not have favourites…but hey it’s only natural! These are fantastically well organised events with a large amount of local suppliers, some small companies and some larger but whom all network and support each other.

I visited a Lovely & Vintage Fayre on Sunday at the The Maritime Club in Portsmouth with one of my brides and it was well worth it!! What an amazing ‘show’! Janet who is the mastermind behind these fairs had certainly gone all out to make this something special. There were around 40 exhibitors in the stunning venue and all of them had something special. I could have stayed all day! Janet had laid on entertainment from burlesque dancers who even slipped in fire breathing at one stage – shhh! There was music from the most amazing It’s All In The Swing Duo who were so fantastic I cannot tell you! My bride was so impressed and managed to tick a few more things off of her list and is still talking about it! I am not going to give away too much about what suppliers she is using but she is a happy girl! The other fantastic thing is that Janet invites suppliers who cannot attend the day to pop fliers in her goody bags so people go away with even more information to digest!

Check out both websites for up and coming dates – they are really worth a visit!

But owning a Rado V10K isn't about attention seeking or proving you've arrived; it is about owning a strikingly beautiful watch that is set very much at the forefront of technology.
